Christian Surfers is a solution to a problem. God looked down and saw a tribe that He created. In this tribe, they were busy trying to feed their souls on things with wonderful tastes but no nutrition.  Personal pleasure became their utmost importance and all members of the tribe were tricked into believing that this could fulfill the spiritual hunger in their souls. And so the tribe entertained themselves with many things, some of them even amoral. But, the one thing that brought the most fun and became the center of the tribes existence was riding ocean waves on man made toys. When the creator looked down at the failed attempts at joy that went on among this tribe, His heart broke. His love had driven Him to a solution many years prior - a bread that would not only fill, but feed the soul. The problem was that most members of the tribe were isolated in some fashion from that cure. So, in His creativity He raised up members of the tribe itself. Opening the eyes and ears of individuals from inside the family. Those people bonded together in an effort to love the tribe with the love they had received from their creator. They sought to share the Good News: that they had discovered a relationship that could fill the soul void in a permanent fashion. And Christian Surfers was born. This same story has occurred, with different people, places and times all over the world. For Christian Surfers United States it happened in 1984 in Santa Barbara, California with a man named Jerry Dow. Some call us "Missionaries". We say we're family members that love our brothers and sisters enough to tell them who "first loved us". 1John 4:19   God's heart continues to break and He continues to offer a solution. If you know Jesus and you surf, you are God's mouthpiece and hands to the surfing community. So, how are you doing at your task?
